Here is the following homework for the long weekend: 1) Write new vocabulary words 1 - 18 three times each, write the definitions one time. 2) Write 5 things that you did during the Moon Festival. Quiz format will include spelling, matching definitions, a picture section, and missing words. Have a great evening.

 Students will take a vocabulary quiz on Saturday, September 11. Students will only be tested on vocabulary that has been learned in class. The quiz will consist of spelling, matching definitions, missing words, and a picture section.

 This is a follow up to the previous post. Your child's homework tonight is their Reader's & Writer's Notebook Page 289. Students' do not have to write vocabulary from today's lesson for homework.
 Today's lesson went as follows: 1) Learned more words with the -le ending syllable. - ankle - turtle - bugle - people - bubble 2) Students learned how to say and write vocabulary words 5 - 9 using complete sentences. 3) Homework: Reader's and Writer's Notebook Page 289
Today went as follows: 1) Learn how to identify pictures of, say, and write words that end with the -le syllable. - little - bottle - table - apple - bundle 2) We started to review the story A Froggy Fable. 3) Homework today is that students write the following words and definitions in their bubble books. These are their writing books. Fable: A type of story, usually about animals, that teaches us a lesson. Perfect: Having no mistakes or flaws. Travel/traveled: To go somewhere. Splash/splashed: To move water in a noisy or messy way.
  Today we reviewed the rules. Students also wrote about what their favorite foods are, what their favorite color is, as well as what they want to be when they grow up. Students also shared them with their classmates and got signatures for sharing what they wrote.
 Day 1 09/02: No homework. Went over the rules of the classroom. Practiced how to behave.
