3) Homework: Study Vocabulary list.

(1) Female (n):  girl or woman

(2) Fuzzy (adj): covered with short, soft hairs, fur, etc

(3) Male (n):  boy or man

(4) Stem (n): the part of a plant between the roots and branches

(5) Pollen (n): dust produced by a plant that is carried by wind or insects to other plants so they can produce seeds

(6) Rub (v): to move something (like your hand) back and forth along the surface of something

(7) Tangle (v): to become or cause to become twisted together

(8) Underneath (prep): below or underneath

(9) Amount (n): a quantity of something

(10) Rot (v):  break down after dying

(11) Cucumber (n): a long, green vegetable often used in salads

(12) Beetle (n):  an insect with a mouth that bites and hard front wings

(13) Spray (v):  push out in a way that it covers a large area

(14) Insecticide (n):  something made specifically to kill insects

(15) Net (n):  a loose weave of ropes used to cover something or catch something

(16) Harvest (n): the time when you pick fruit and vegetables at the farm

(17 Turn (v): to move around a central point; or to cause to face another direction

(18) Pulp (n): the inner, juicy part of a fruit or vegetable

(19) Form (v): to cause to have a particular shape

(20) Wagon (n):  something with wheels but no engine that is used to carry things

(21) Festival (n):  like a holiday, but it can be many days

(22) Celebrate (v):  have a party because something good happened

(23) Roast (v):  cook slowly, especially in an oven

(24) Snack (n):  something small to eat between meals
