 Dear Parents,

Today in class we did the following:

1) Final Syllable -le

2) Vocabulary words 6 - 10, I Wanna Iguana

3) Homework: Write vocabulary words 6 - 10 three times, definitions one time.

Week 10 Vocabulary – I Wanna Iguana


  1. reptile: an animal with cold blood that lays eggs and has scales (like a snake, turtle, or lizard)

  2. concerned: feeling worry or concern about

  3. lonely: feeling alone: sad from being apart from people

  4. trick: an action meant to deceive someone

  5. burp: to let air from the stomach out of the mouth with a sound

  6. grossed-out: to feel disgusted by something

  7. spaghetti: long, thin, pasta

  8. sauce: a liquid eaten with food to add flavor to it

  9. cover: something put around or on something to protect it

  10. take off: to remove something

  11. exactly: to mean something is accurate, complete, or correct

  12. feed: to give food to

  13. lettuce: a green leafy vegetable, often used in salads

  14. messy: untidy

  15. responsible: able to be trusted to do what is right

  16. P.S.: Post Script- an extra note or message at the end of a letter

  17. forever: for all of time: without end

  18. allowance: money parents give children regularly

  19. wizard: a kind of magic man: also someone very good at something

  20. allergic: relating to an allergy: some people are allergic to peanuts, for example

  21. cartoonist: a person who writes and draws cartoons

  22. appear: to show up somewhere: to be seen somewhere

  23. humor: a funny or amusing quality

  24. imagination: the ability to think of things that are not real
