Today we did the following:

1) Vocabulary word 23, unit test review.

2) Homework: Write vocabulary word 23 five times and the definition one time, Reading Street Pages 164 - 176, study vocabulary list.

Next week we will begin our monthly exams.

3rd Grade 2nd  Exam Test Scope -- Fall, 2021

Dear Parents,

The Second Monthly Exams are upon us once again, below is the exam schedule and test scope.

Please remind your child to go over vocabulary and reading stories listed in the test scope.

v  Listening Exam: Wednesday, 11/17

v  Oral Exam: Thurs 11/18 and Friday, 11/19

v  Written Exam: Tuesday, 11/23

LISTENING & ORAL EXAMS:

 ·         Vocabulary Focus: Week 8~ Week 11 (Communication Book)

·         Reading Street Stories:

o   The Night the Moon Fell (p. 120-152);

o   The First Tortilla (p. 154--168)

o   Listening Skills: Listen for words in a sentence; listen and identify pictures; listen & circle the correct word; vocabulary words for spellings and definitions of syllable patterns, compound words, and vowel diagraphs (oo,ue,ew,ui)

 WRITTEN EXAM:

 ·         Vocabulary Focus: Week 8 ~ Week 11 (Communication Book)

·         Story Comprehension:

o   The Night the Moon Fell (p. 120-152); The First Tortilla (p. 154--168)

·         Phonics Focus: Syllable Patterns, Compound Words and Vowel Diagraphs (oo, ue, ew, ui)
