4th Grade 1st Exam Test Scope -- Spring, 2022/3

Dear Parents,

The First Monthly Exams are upon us once again.

Below is the exam schedule and test scope.

Please remind your child to go over vocabulary and

reading stories listed in the test scope.

l   Listening Exam: Wednesday, 03/22

 

l   Oral Exam: Thursday, 03/23 and Friday, 03/24

 

l   Written Exam: Tuesday, 03/28

LISTENING & ORAL EXAMS:

l   Vocabulary Focus: Week 1-4

(Communication Book)

l   Reading Street Stories:

l   Because Winn-Dixie (p. 26 – p. 37)

l   Lewis and Clark (p. 52 – p. 67)

 

l   Listening Skills: Listen for short vowel sounds and patterns VCCV, long ‘a’ and ‘i’ words, and new vocabulary words in sentences.

 

WRITTEN EXAM:

l   Vocabulary Focus: Week 1 – Week 4

(Communication Book)

l   Story Comprehension:

l   Because Winn-Dixie (p. 26 – p. 37)

l   Lewis and Clark (p. 52 – p. 67)

 

 

l   Phonics Focus:

l   VCCV short vowel sounds and patterns

l   Long ‘a’ and Long ‘i’ words
