Today in class we reviewed compound words and learned vocabulary words 21 - 24 from Kumak's Fish Week 3. Homework tonight is to write vocabulary words 21 - 24 three times and the definitions once.

Week 3 Vocabulary – Kumak’s Fish

 

 

1)     remember: to think of something or someone from the past again

2)     joy: a feeling of great happiness

3)     villagers: people who live in a village

4)     bring (brought): to come with someone or something to a place

5)     slide (slid): to move smoothly along a surface

6)     below: in or to a lower place

7)     grab (grabbed): to quickly take and hold something with your hand or arms

8)     waist: middle part of the body between the hips and chest

9)     seal: a large animal that lives near the sea and eats fish

10)   walrus: a large animal that lives near the sea that has long tusks

11)   edge: the line or part where an object or area begins or ends

12)   pack: to put things into something

13)   stretch: to continue or extend over an area

14)   enormous: very big

15)   give up: to stop trying to do something 

16)   let go: to stop holding someone or something

17)   mighty: very strong and powerful

18)   tight: difficult to move; held in a position that’s not easy to move

19)   land: to catch and bring in a fish

20)   entire: all of something.

21)   feast: a special meal with a large amount of food and drink

22)   cheer: to shout for joy

23)   teach (taught): to cause or help someone learn

24)   reside: to live
